Job Description:
Analyzes and recommends security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers. Support designing, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet security requirements. Supports integration and implementation of the computer system security solution. Analyzes general Cybersecurity-related technical problems and provides basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. Supports vulnerability/risk analyses and make recommendations of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems data assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Ensures that all information systems are functional and secure. Perform with some latitude for independent actions and decisions. This position may serve as the technical lead for other team members to include network, cyber, or IT security engineers.
Duties may include the following:
Remote Access Services (RAS)
- Provide systems and sustaining engineering and capacity management for the secure remote access systems (e.g. Client VPN, dial-in, SSL VPN) located at the NASA External Border/TIC Boundary and/or NASA Centers.
Network Access Control (NAC)
- Perform systems and sustaining engineering and capacity management for the Communications Program (CP) NAC services in accordance with NASA Agency Cybersecurity policies and directives.
Firewall Services
- Perform system and sustaining engineering and capacity management of CP Corporate, Mission, Enterprise, center and project firewall systems for LANs and WAN, as approved by NASA.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Require BS degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience in order to operate within the scope contemplated by the level.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
