Job Description:

We are in search of an experienced Systems Administrator supporting the Cyber TRIDENT Program in Orlando “The City Beautiful,” Florida. The candidate will guide the definition, implementation, and delivery of capability focused on Cyber Training systems. The selected candidate will leverage their skills to provide engineering support of a virtualized computing environment. 

The Systems Administrator will provide support in a Top-Secret Special Compartment Information (TS/SCI) classified environment which is technically complex, has little government provided documentation and limited OEM documentation.

Shift work (Day (6am-3pm) Weekdays) and some travel required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
  • Coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Plans and implements the modernization of servers.
  • Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and at least eight (8) years of experience performing systems administration activities in a professional capacity. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server Update Servers (WSUS), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Experience with Linux, AWS and Azure.
  • Experiencing managing and maintaining PC, server, laptop, and printer hardware.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
  • Experience with Enterprise Virtualization (VMWare, NSX-T) – vCloud experience a plus
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple priorities along with a strong work ethic required.
  • Self-starter that is able to work independently while possessing the communication skills to work effectively with engineering teams, customers, and senior leadership.
  • Secret clearance is required.  Ability to obtain U.S. DoD Tope Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field.
  • CCNA or CISSP is highly desired.
  • AWS certification.
  • Experience with SCCM desktop management suite.
  • Experience with virtual desktop brokers, such as VMWare View
  • Experience deploying production virtual environments (e.g. thin clients).
  • Experience with Windows software packaging and deployment automation.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Covid Guidance
