Job Description:

Project Support Officer

This is an enabling role for the engineering leadership within the Technical Workstream. As such, the Project Support Officer (PSO) will be supporting the engineering leadership with a variety of project related administrative task that will include general administrative tasks such as finance, human resources, purchasing, budgeting, project scheduling and the production of management information and reports.

The PSO will be expected to work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results and project deliverables. Daily tasking will be coordinated through the Chief Engineer and Technical Workstream Lead.

General Responsibilities

General responsibilities are described below.  Note that this list is not exhaustive and will grow over time.

Planning Increments:

  • Work with engineering leadership to organise the planning increment workshops, which includes booking of facilities, conference rooms, issuing meeting invites and raising visitor requests
  • Ensure key stakeholders are prepared for the planning workshops, including the advance creation of the appropriate confluence pages
  • Ensure the output from the planning is shared with stakeholders as appropriate

General Support:

  • Coordinate visitor requests for customer and supplier visits to Leidos sites
  • Coordinate with the PMO to ensure configuration control of the system design, system elements, documents, and other technical artefacts in accordance with agreed processes
  • Issue meeting invites for key engineering meetings, such as the Technical Working Group
  • Maintain the Technical Workstream Organisation Chart in consultation with the PMO
  • Support the Technical Workstream Lead with the day-to-day checking of the Cost Account Management, including checking that the correct charge codes are being used, overtime booking and identification where codes are being used by those outside of the workstream
  • Coordinating the technical content for various external briefings, such as the weekly US Programme Update and Project Board
  • Maintenance of engineering management information
  • Supporting the PMO with Technical Workstream related activities, as required

Pay Range:

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
