Job Description:
Leidos is seeking an experienced public health analyst/epidemiologist to fulfill the National Center for Emerging Zoonotic and Respiratory (NCEZID) requirement for a self-motivated and detail-oriented public health analyst to provide effective and innovative data science solutions. Provides programmatic and scientific support to CDC subject matter experts and members of CDC. Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on public policies or scientific studies or surveys. Analyze study or project implementation procedures for improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
Preparing manuscripts for publication including: conducting literature reviews and summarizing relevant information, reviewing analyzed data, writing methods and discussion sections. Preparing abstracts and other reports for on-line publication or presentation at scientific meetings Providing other epidemiological support to the surveillance branch as needed. Lead data analysis for data validation projects with external partners to evaluate and improve data quality. Lead data cleaning projects to improve the quality of the DHQP product. Present research papers, conference abstracts, and other publications. Provide outreach and education, and provide consultation and technical assistance to support healthcare-associated infection (HAI) prevention, surveillance, and response activities, and to meet NHSN data quality needs. Participate in epidemiological investigation, research, special projects and other technical assistance. Perform other analytical and data related duties, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics or Informatics and 4 - 6 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-4 years of prior relevant experience
Statistical programming experience using SAS, R, SQL or STATA. Must be able to work independently, with minimal direction.
Positions are contingent upon contract award and require the ability to pass a NACI security clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
