We are in search of a Network Engineer to join our Mission Partner Environment Services (MPE-S) program to provide on-site support at Fort MacDill in Tampa, FL. You will be a part of a dynamic, multi-disciplined team supporting Virtualized Data Center Node for our customer. As the Network Engineer, you will contribute to the overall engineering, design, build, implementation/integration and operations support of all existing and live infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing:
Define, optimize, standardize, and follow operational processes and metrics based on best practices and ITIL framework
Develop & ensure efficient application of change, configuration & release management processes
Ensure that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards, serve as a member of Change Control & Engineering Review Boards
Define and implement Document Management & version control processes (check-out/check-in, merge, build, re-lease, etc.)
Review processes and resources to make recommendations for improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs
Conduct inventory/procurement management, technical refresh, software update tracking, version control implementation and standardization across the supported environments
Ability to design technical release templates and to draft release notes in support of release process
Create and document site architecture through Visio diagrams
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Cisco IOS and NxOS based network devices
Understanding of IAVAs and STIGs and applies updates to routers, switches, firewalls, & etc.
Monitor overall network health and troubleshoots reported events
Patch and update network device operating systems to Department of Defense guidelines
Maintain integrity and security of network devices and systems
Develop and implement testing strategies and document results
Capable of troubleshooting virtual issues in VMware
Ability to write and update technical documents, procedures, TTP, SOPs, etc.
Perform other duties as required.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Network Engineering, Math) plus 8 years’ direct experience in the last 15 years OR High School Diploma with 15 years of general experience of which 10 years is directly related experience
Position requires a current DoD 8570 IAT II certification
Technical Certification in area of expertise is required
Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required
Active Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Experience:
Advanced Networking Certification, such as CCNP
ITIL-Foundations certified
Demonstrated experience with the forecasting, planning, and resourcing technical projects with responsibility to deliver within cost, schedule and performance.
Experience supporting DoD Coalition network infrastructure and service deployments
Experience designing and troubleshoot Cisco VoIP networks

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
