Leidos has an opening for a Communications Lead who will support the delivery of mission enabling Information Technology Service Management/Integration and Cybersecurity for a large environment of critical national security importance. 

The Communications Lead will support operations for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

THE MISSION 

The successful candidate will serve as the communications security (COMSEC) Custodian and manage the COMSEC infrastructure for the NNSA OCIO enterprise.  

 

THE CHALLENGE 

  • Configure and install cryptographic hardware and maintain the health and wellness of crypto devices currently in operations by minimizing downtime to users during operational maintenance periods.  

  • Maintain and protect keying and other COMSEC materials and updates keying material per customer designated timeframes.  

  • Document and tracks all devices and materials across multiple accounts and multiple systems and demonstrate accountability of all devices and materials during yearly audits. 

 

WHAT SETS YOU APART 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4-8+ years of prior relevant work experience within IT/Cybersecurity 

  • DoD 8570 IAT or IAM Level III certification 

  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders 

  • Knowledge of current crypto devices/methods as well as COMSEC principles and practices 

  • Ability to implement processes and maintain administrative documentation 

  • Knowledge and basic understanding of network transport devices that are attached to the encryption devices (examples: routers, switches, firewalls) 

  • Knowledge and basic understanding of information security practices and devices 

  • Strong collaboration and customer service skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment 

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations 

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in team environments 

 

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE 

  •  DOE and/or NNSA site experience strongly preferred 
  • Knowledge of DOE and/or NNSA security policies and procedures 

  • Experience working in both Classified and Unclassified operations 

  • Experience working within Managed Service environments 

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with SD 205.1 

  • Experience in network and network security design, installation and support of LAN/WAN networks and security components 

  • Ability to solve complex engineering problems and implemented innovative ideas to solve customer challenges 

 

Travel up to 10% 

**Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DOE Q or Top-Secret Clearance (or higher) to be considered for this role.**

Pay Range:

Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
