The Leidos Defense Group is hiring a Computer Network Defense (CND) Log Analyst. The job location for this position is primarily at Joint Base Andrews (JBA); however, the successful candidate will complete and oversee tasks at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) and the Pentagon as well.

Responsibilities Include:
Utilize Enterprise Logging Ingest and Cyber Situational Awareness Refinery (ELICSAR) to collect data, analyze logs, and provide enterprise monitoring and detection.
Create Security Event Notifications to document investigation findings
Manage and respond to Classified Data Spillages
Assist with information security awareness program, ensuring all staff understand the policies and risks related to information security
Collaborate with team members to analyze an alert or a threat
Remain current and proficient with identifying latest computer/network threats
Monitor shared email box for notifications and requests
Contribute to content tuning requests
Remain familiar with dynamic malware analysis and apply experience analyzing malicious websites
Apply experience to analyzing network traffic/host logs, and correlate diverse security logs to recommend appropriate responses
Review and provide feedback to junior analysts' investigations
Contribute to SOP/brown bag development and updating
Attend briefings and take appropriate actions to defend the enterprise
Help cross train junior analysts
Maintain understanding of security tools (e.g., such as IDS, IPS, Proxy, Firewall, Antivirus, DLP)
Maintain working knowledge of Windows OS and standard system logs
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, or related discipline and 8+ years of direct experience; or master’s degree and 6+ years of experience. Additional relevant/specialized training and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
A current, DoD 8570-compliant certification for IAT Level II (e.g., Security + w/CE) prior to start.
A current DoD 8570-compliant certification for CSSP Incident Responder (e.g., Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) prior to start.
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance or higher.
Experience using and managing DoD Big Data Platform (BDP) and/or Enterprise Logging Ingest and Cyber Situational Awareness Refinery (ELICSAR)
Experience with DoD Cyber Operations
Experience with coordinating/responding to events on all monitored networks & systems on those networks
Knowledge of current and emerging cyber adversaries and their tactics, techniques & procedures (TTPs)
Possess and demonstrate superb customer service skills and the ability to work independently - prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks - along with extensive knowledge and experience in specialized area of expertise, especially as it relates to the DoD
Clearance Required:
Requires an active Secret clearance
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
