Job Description:

Licensed inTransition Coach Managers work remotely supporting inTransition Coaches and Coach Specialists who provide coaching to military members and Vets across services throughout the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Research and Development Directorate (J9), Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE).

The DHA PHCoE inTransition program is a critical program to provide a Transition Support Contact Call Center Program (operationalized by the name “inTransition”) to transitioning service members or veterans who are currently receiving psychological health care (i.e, mental health care or behavioral health care) and wish to receive care at their new destination or with a new provider in their same location or wish to initiate psychological health care for the first time

Primary Responsibilities

The inTransition Coach Manager (CM) is a professional, trained, and licensed mental health care provider and serves as liaison manager between the InTransition Coaches\Coach Specialists and the inTransition Deputy Program Manager. The CM will develop and lead inTransition Coach/Coach Specialist training, quality control, incident report reviews, coach performance, best practices, case assignment and procedural documentation. The CM Lead will also represent the Coaches\Coach Specialists in program meetings as required.

The position includes 75% management duties and 25% Coaching duties to include a reduced client load.

  • Accountable for managing coach and coach specialist performance

  • Assist program managers with development of best practices and resources

  • Lead coaching staff onboarding and training of team members

  • Provide follow up training and feedback for team members with documentation and use of SN platform for case management

  • Develops and maintains workflow and standardized processes

  • Lead contact to PM/DPM/Call Center Manager for Coach concerns and processes

  • Update/organize Coach and Coach Specialist schedules with final approval by Venesco PM/PM

  • Complete or assign follow up Critical Incident call within 1 business day of critical incident for unassigned SMs, review coach follow up to critical Incident reports if coach was assigned and submit to COR

  • Manage Coach caseloads and assigning of new and escalated cases

  • Ensure cross coverage for team’s PTO

  • Complete Quality Control Checks to ensure best practices

  • Evaluates weekly performance reports and works with coaches\coach specialists to reduce barriers to success, coordinates training for improved performance, alerts Venesco to performance issues

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • Must hold an Independent License as a Mental Health Professional (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, behavioral health counseling)

  • Must possess at least 3 years’ experience managing licensed professionals in the mental health field.

  • Must possess at least 3 years experiencing developing professional teams to reach and maintain established performance measures

  • Must possess at least 5 years’ experience delivering face-to-face mental health care and have demonstrated clinical experience in care management, motivational interviewing, and crisis counseling.

  • Must have experience training staff

  • Must have experience developing comprehensive reports

  • Must have Intermediate technology skills with strong command of word processing, excel, and electronic database platform navigation

  • Ability to multitask including online resource sourcing, completing forms and initialing electronic communications while in-session talking to client

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Veteran population

  • PMP or Agile training

  • Experience working on a Government Contract within some level of management capacity

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,150.00 - $71,000.00 - $95,850.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
