The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program at Leidos is seeking an Engineering Planner to perform a variety of duties in connection with the preparation of high profile business intelligence documents for FAA senior leaders, Lines of Businesses, or other external groups. The position will be supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Central Service Center (CSC) Operations Support Group (OSG) Flight Procedures Team (FPT) by providing technical expertise in planning and integration of National Airspace Modernization. This position is based in Fort Worth, Texas and is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the NISC mission.
The ideal candidate should be able to communicate to a variety of audiences including FAA Headquarters, FAA field offices, Air Traffic Operations, Technical Operations, System Operations and users of the National Airspace System. Experience dealing with each of these organizations is necessary and the candidate must be knowledgeable of FAA orders to develop and provides assessments and technical recommendations. The ability to work in a team environment is critical as this will contribute to the overall success of the deliverable.
Primary Responsibilities for the position include:
Support the FAA Air Traffic Organization Safety and Technical Training (AJI) through review and analysis of UAS operations and interactions within the NAS.
- Generally requires a Bachelors Degree and 8 to 12 years or prior relevant experience or Masters Degree with 6 to 10 years of experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in the degree requirement.
- Experience conducting research, evaluations, studies, and develop recommendations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Experience dealing with multiple lines of business in the FAA.
- FAA Management/Staff experience.
Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $111,000.00 - $149,850.00
