Leidos is currently seeking a Database Administrator in Piketon, OH. The Database Administrator installs, manages and customizes application configurations of Commercial Off –the-Shelf (COTS) software to achieve mission performance requirements by providing quality work. Develops custom applications leveraging object oriented programming and visual coding tools and platforms. Creates estimates for project completion based on user requirements. Develop tools for collaborative information sharing.
The ideal candidate will:
Have intermediate to advanced experience with Relational Database Management Systems such as Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle Databases.
Provide support for complex issues related to software tools, applications, databases, and system access.
Work with software vendor to analyze and resolve software installation and on-going support issues of end users.
Recommend software solutions to meet end user and IT needs.
Support Cyber Security compliance and audit preparation in coordination with the Cyber Security Team.
Consult with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into project objectives.
Create related documentation.
Support recommendations and plans for software development and operations and software purchases.
Provide support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software applications.
Apply software updates and patches.
Perform work according to Software Quality Assurance policies and procedures
Communicate effectively and efficiently with all stakeholders.
Provide after-hours support, if/when the need arises.
Basic Qualifications:
Degree from an accredited university with emphasis in computer science, preferred AND 5 years relevant experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance
Experience working in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
Demonstrate written and oral communication skills, including communicating and coordinating with other Government contractors and stakeholders
Experience with operations and maintenance of COTS.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database management
Preferred Qualifications:
DOE site experience
Active clearance
Related industry-recognized certifications.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
