Job Description:

Leidos is hiring a Program Analyst to support the B61-12 Life Extension Program (LEP) Division, NA-125.1 with a broad range of program and technical support services as the B61-12 moves into full production status.  In this role, the individual will coordinate with the B61-12 Lead Program Analyst and other technical and project management staff, to interact with all the sites.

The work performed is extensive in scope and requires experienced individuals with demonstrated program/project management, appropriate technical expertise, self-starting, ability to work in a highly dynamic environment, and interface with broad range of federal leadership. The candidate will utilize expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced principles, and concepts to support the customer. 

This is a full-time contractor support position located on-site at the NNSA offices in Albuquerque, NM.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing programmatic assistance, including site reviews, agency meetings, and NNSA project team meetings.

  • Reviewing and summarizing production reports for management and serving as the interface with NSE production activities. 

  • Providing configuration control support.

  • Absorbing broad objectives from management, then independently analyze, evaluate, and integrate solutions for unusually complex and diverse technical problems.

  • Applying common problem-solving techniques to logistics challenges; proactive identification of potential issues and reporting such to the Team Lead.

  • Willingness to collaborate with and travel to multiple NNSA Agencies.

  • Assisting Federal staff to ensure that plans and solutions are proceeding on schedule, and that deliverables conform to customer requirements, quality control standards and negotiated metrics.

  • Creating processes and procedures for tracking changes and status of changes.

  • Preparing briefings developing technical reports, technical editing. Communicate complex and concepts to the Team Lead and stakeholders for supporting program and budget execution.

  • Identifying and alerting the B61-12 Non-Nuclear Component Product Realization Lead and staff to resolve emerging issues and problems.

  • Apply broad and diversified knowledge of respective weapons systems, NNSA/NSE surveillance program, relevant Phase 6.X activities and deliverables, and program management disciplines.

  • Analyzing information and review system requirements for workflow, organization, and corrective measures.

  • Applying process improvement practices for the nuclear weapon surveillance activities.

  • Exercising judgment and plan and accomplish goals based upon program planning and mission performance.

  • Working independently, creatively, and under general supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience in program/project management, logistics, quality; Or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience in the areas of program/project systems engineering, production planning/scheduling.

  • System level production, production scheduling experience.

  • Engineering and Product Realization Teams (PRT) experience.

  • Configuration management experience.

  • Recent work in support of NNSA/NSE weapon activities desired. 

  • Program/project management in NNSA, DoD, government or corporate environments required.

  • Managing interdisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of program and project management/scheduling tools and techniques.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in writing and editing briefings for senior and executive managers.

Travel is required; currently anticipated to be about 10% per year to various NSE sites.
 

Active DOD TS or DOE Q clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
