Seeking a Data Analyst to support the Operational Energy office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force.
In this role, you will act as the Lead Data Analyst for the Mission Execution Excellence Program (MEEP), an aviation energy efficiency program.
The Data Analyst should be familiar with coding in python, data ingestion and analysis tools, particularly cloud-based tools such as Databricks and related large-scale data structures such as Delta Lake, and visualization platforms such as Qlik and Tableau.
Assist the MEEP Program Manager with the implementation of the program through specific data and metric collection and visibility efforts. Develop relevant dashboards for near real-time feedback of fuel-related data. Conduct focus groups and surveys to collect quantitative data and understand how to encourage operator compliance with data reporting. Develop and assess aviation energy metrics to discover opportunities for energy savings measures. Capture requisite data for aviation metrics and perform analysis to determine best course of action for aviation energy efficiencies.
- Requires a BA degree and 8+ years of prior relevant USAF experience. 2+ years data analysis or data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in python and basic visualization techniques, e.g. plotly or Tableau.
- Must be US Citizen. Must be eligible to attain a security clearance, specifically DoD/Secret Clearance.
- Experience working in the Air Force, DoD, or civil aviation industry either as aviator or in a support role.
- Experience with Technical Writing and strong communication skills preferred.
- Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake data structures, PySpark, Tableau, and Qlik.
Pay Range:Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00
