The Leidos Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense Group is seeking a Network Operations Technician to support our N2NOMS program in Colorado Springs, CO.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our customer maintains a highly demanding mission and requires our support to provide expert technical and professional management support to the commands enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. The Network Operations Technician will be part of a project to stand-up a Top-level Architecture stack at a new location in support of NORAD & NORTHCOM operations. The position will also support other IT projects and technology upgrades for the customer and will report directly to the Projects Team Lead.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Function independently as the Network Operations Technician and subject matter expert on a team that includes a Project Manager, Network Operations, Cybersecurity and professional services on a project to set up a new COOP location.
•Conduct site surveys of data centers to observe conditions of the existing environment (i.e.., cabling, power, equipment racks, etc.), develop solutions and make recommendations based on project requirements.
•Represent Leidos and work directly with Govt customer and coordinate with support teams on systematic enhancements or changes.
•Develop networking solutions, conduct network design planning and develop documentation on the new environment – design details/diagrams, materials required, configurations and architecture.
•Design implementation details and test plans for upgrades or new installations.
•Install and configure network switches, routers, firewalls, and coordinate circuits required.
•Provide expert support to troubleshoot circuits using router commands, loops, alarms and errors, and other troubleshooting technologies and techniques.
•Install and configure monitoring tools of the environment.
•Configure Border Gateway Protocol, access control lists, boundary settings, routes, and paths.
•Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
•Author, create and update site administration documentation for long-term sustainment.
•Conduct testing with the customer to verify system functionality and adjust as needed.
•Develop system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while leading engagements other teams.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
•Must hold an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•High school and 5-7 years of experience
•Must have a DoD IAT II certification (i.e., Sec+ CE, GSEC).
•Must have a CCNA and must be able to obtain JNCIA within 60 days of hire.
•Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching.
•General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
•Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.
•Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
•Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, Optical Switching.
•General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in associated field
•DoD-8570 IAT III Certification.
•ITIL Foundations Certification.
•Experience with Circuit Management.
•Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills.
•Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts.
•Familiarization of NORAD/USNORTHCOM missions and DOD regulations and directives.
Salary Target: 95,000-100,000
N2NOMS
Pay Range:
Pay Range $60,450.00 - $93,000.00 - $125,550.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
