Foundation for Success (Basic Qualifications):

This experience is the foundation a candidate needs to be successful in this position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience
  • 7+ years of demonstrated design and development skills using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated installation, configuration, and administrative support of Tableau 2019.1 or above.

Factors to Help You Shine (Required Skills):

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing Tableau visualization solutions.
  • Experience developing dashboards, charts, pivots in Tableau Desktop 2021.1 or higher using calculations, parameters.
  • Experience defining and documenting best practices for Tableau report development.
  • Experience connecting to varied data source, including but not limited to, Oracle 19c or above, DB2, Greenplum, SQL Server, and other enterprise data sources.
  • Utilized data blending activities for Tableau functionalities.
  • Clear and precise written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and present complex technical concepts in front of a wide audience composed of users, business leaders, and technical experts.
  • Some hands-on experience and familiarity with other BI/ data technologies such as Business Objects, Oracle, Microstrategy, Power BI, SAS, R, Python, Excel, etc.
  • Comfortable working in enterprise support services

How to Stand Out from the Crowd (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of Tableau through the following experience or skills:

  • Familiarity with Greenplum databases and Enterprise Data Warehouses.
  • Federal Government experience.
  • Experience working in or with an enterprise Tableau Center of Excellence.
  • Tableau Prep and/or other Tableau products (Data management, Server management).

  • Helping users tune and optimize Tableau workbooks and underlying data sources with expert techniques and best practices.
  • Developing technical guides that include Tableau standards / guidelines, best practices, tips and tricks, and other helpful diagrams and charts.
  • Presenting technical whitepapers, demo’s or protypes at Tableau user group meetings.
  • Leading user working sessions aimed at helping raise awareness of important Tableau technical standards and best practices, especially related to Tableau server governance guidelines and policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between users, Tableau site administration and user support, and the technical platform team
  • Developing Dashboards and preparing ad-Hoc Reporting.
  • Assisting users in creating and modifying worksheets and data visualization dashboards.

Education & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in a training-related field or bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in a training-related field
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Pay Range:

Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Covid Guidance for the US
