The Leidos Defense team is looking for a Junior to mid-level Field Service Technician part of the LEIDOS team to support ARIES INSCOM G6 contract which provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems. Performs Preventive and Remedial Maintenance, User Support, On-Site Equipment Repair, System Update, Replace Installation/Removal, System Operations and Logistics, Scheduled Maintenance, System Administration, Information Assurance, IA Vulnerability Management Compliance, Approval to Operate, FISMA documentation, and IT System Status Updates to provide mission critical services for JMICS
This position supports the JMICS system at 66th MI BN, Wiesbaden, GE.
Primary Responsibilities
The position performs Preventive and Remedial Maintenance, User Support, On-Site Equipment Repair, System Update, Replace Installation/Removal, System Operations and Logistics, Scheduled Maintenance, System Administration, Information Assurance, IA Vulnerability Management Compliance, Approval to Operate, FISMA documentation, and IT System Status Updates to provide mission critical services for JMICS and C-JWICS. Provides Tier I and II support at remote field and garrison sites. May perform server and desktop installation, basic cabling, systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions. May perform other duties as required. Capable of running a remote site by themselves with demanding customers in austere deployed or garrison locations.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and at least 2 yrs of relevant technical experience in the administration of networked desktop and server systems. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
All applicable operating systems certifications required for the server and storage hardware that is part of the current operational baseline.
Must be able to load cryptographic keys and perform troubleshooting on many types of hardware and software.
DoD 8750 IA Certification at IAT II: CompTIA Security+ Continuing Education (CE)
DoD 8750 Computer Environment (CE) Certification, such as CompTIA Server +, Cisco ICND1 or equivalent certification.
Valid US passport and ability to clear to work overseas.
Clearance requirement: Active TS SCI
Preferred Qualifications
Experience maintaining Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2016/2019, VMWare (ESXi) and Server R2 platforms.
MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator on Exchange 2010
Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
