Leidos is in search of a multi-talented Senior Computer Based Training (CBT) Multimedia Designer/Programmer to join our studio with an existing team of artists, programmers, and designers to create modern digital training for the United States Air Force. Our client is a visionary leader that is bringing Virtual Reality and digital training to the forefront of Air Force technical and specialty training for Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) analyst and operators around the world. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your proven industry experience to create engaging training for U.S. Air Force training.
We are seeking candidates with a master level of expertise in creating interactive and engaging training for Department of Defense and related industries. As a Senior Computer Based Training (CBT) Multimedia Designer/Programmer you will work alongside a digital art team, instructional designer, subject matter experts (SMEs), to create modern ISR training for Airmen. You create free standing HTML5 training courseware for the 16th Air Force with course priorities established by the customer. You will be tasked with creating new courses from the ground up to increase training efficiencies, accessibility across any device, support text and voice over in multiple languages and be fully integrated into a Learning Management System such as Blackboard.
Responsibilities include:
Design and build the overarching style, look, feel, interactivity of the courseware, leveraging content from the ISD, 2D, and 3D departments.
Communicate with the customer and or instructors to ensure features and content improvements over previous, existing, or new areas are achieved.
Design, program, and link up components in Articulate Storyline 360 application.
Collaborate with the various disciplines listed above to maximize quality and build efficiency.
Work under the day-to-day AGILE methodology structure of the studio to deliver to meet milestones.
Provide weekly production updates to management.
Qualifications:
10+ years of direct experience in the development of computer-based training for the government, DOD, aerospace, or similar industries.
Bachelor's degree (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Master level of understanding of all aspects of Articulate Storyline 360, HTML5 Object-Oriented Design, UI Design, and e-Learning methodologies.
Ability to collaborate with team, customer and Project Managers on project scope, design, methodology and support quality control as directed.
Must have experience and ability to directly collaborate with customers, government clients, or subject matter experts (SME) for the development of new course material or project refinement.
Strong experience creating innovative learning experiences with an intuitive user guided experience for mobile, web-based platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Ability to design content based on e-learning activities, draft storyboards, and identify key points to capture student performance or tie to grading rubric.
Experience with JIRA or similar software for both task tracking and scrum boards.
Ability to create, track, and maintain and operate within complex schedules.
Strong understanding of 2D design workflows and motion graphics.
Experience leading design, coding, and testing, of computer-based training.
Strong commitment to excellence, innovation, collaboration, with a lead by example work ethic.
Motivated, self-directed, with superb written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to obtain security clearance (requires US citizenship).
Must be able to work in a dynamic cross-functional setting in a 100% remote working environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Top-Secret clearance
Background in project management is desired.
Previous military intelligence, ISR or Cyber career field knowledge or experience.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $111,000.00 - $149,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
