Job Description:
Leidos is looking for an infrastructure engineer to serve as a lead for an operations and maintenance (O&M) activities contract supporting the Internal Revenue Service. As the lead infrastructure engineer on this program, you will design, develop, and implement a standardized integration, constantly enhance security, and deploy improvements to the taxpayer experience while researching innovative solutions to strengthen fraud detection and identity authentication. You will guide the assessment of the maturity level of the Technology, its capabilities and identify where innovation as a solution could be offered to our customer as an enhancement. You will also lead and manage work of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and deliver an innovative product, service, or a combination of products and services that address a customer's specific requirements
Coordinate and provide support for daily operations, infrastructure updates, upgrades, migrations, architecture changes, OS upgrades, COTS packages (e.g. JBoss, M-Queue), patches, outages and deployments
Develop logic diagrams for all Identity and Access management (IAM) applications and infrastructure components
Participate in development of a comprehensive IAM technology plan/roadmap for future upgrades, migrations, and architecture changes
Support the development of enterprise software solutions
Develop innovative approaches and solutions, using non-quantitative tools and guidelines from experience
Provide execution guidance and practical engineering support to mission teams
Advise on Infrastructure modernization and cloud migration
Influence development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results
Review security findings and recommend solutions
Serve as a subject matter expert within technical domain area
Basic Qualifications:
MS Degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Proficiency in MS Office, Middleware Management, documentation, Java, JSP (HTML/XML), RESTful Web Services, Cloud, Containers, DevSecOps, Oracle SQL, Linux/RedHat, Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), CA SiteMinder, 508 compliance, IBM Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM)
Experience with security accreditation process
Experience with the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
Experience in Cloud Technologies and infrastructure -as-code concepts.
Understanding of aspects of architect and design enterprise cloud solutions and AWS
Experience interacting with cross functional project teams including Software Development, System Engineering/ Verification and Validation, Security, Compliance and Quality Assurance.
Experience working in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum environments.
Experience working with DevSecOps and CI/CD related technologies.
Knowledge of Software Configuration Management life cycle deliverables.
Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud based application development
Ability to be cleared by the US Government via a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working on projects in an IRS/Treasury environment
Certification in Agile methodology
Active IRS MBI
Knowledge of NIST Special Publication 800-63-3 Digital Identity Guidelines
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
