Job Description:

Leidos is currently seeking a driven results oriented and motivated self-starter with a business improvement background to join the NISC team as Implementation Manager in support of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Power Services Group (PSG) and specifically the DC BUS Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff that will be responsible for the forecasting, planning and implementation of equipment procurement and delivery and installation, to bring new equipment online at FAA facilities around the globe.

The candidate will establish goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for the successful completion of project work that is within budget and schedule constraints, provide guidance to subordinates and ensure that such policies and procedures are effectively implemented.  Guidance and oversight must also be provided to subcontractors.  Further, the position requires frequent interface with FAA customer personnel, other contractor personnel, FAA GTIs, and other FAA customer representatives

The successful candidate will be a proven, versatile, and results- driven leader that motivates multi- disciplined project teams.  The manager will assist the lead with coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and personnel development.   This position requires strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of the customer mission, the customer organization and customer relations, and the ability to adapt to changing customer needs and requirements.

They will also provide implementation reporting and manage a team of project managers to ensure that all projects run on schedule, within scope, and budget constraints. Duties include approving timesheets and overseeing career goals for the successful development of the team in support of client goals and initiatives

Primary Responsibilities:

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all projects schedules are met and within budget constraints

  • Provide timely/accurate responses to all technical and program inquiries received.

  • As required, assist in budget formulation activities utilizing FAA government databases.

  • As applicable, author procurement required documents in support of program schedules.

  • Work independently to achieve day-to-day DC BUS Program objectives which may significantly impact operational results or program objectives.

  • Update project schedules as required and provide input to FAA construction managers.

  • Organize impromptu telecons/meetings to ensure all project maintain schedule and cost.

  • Utilizing special client databases, provide programmatic input to other team members.

  • Perform investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Perform cost analysis, return on investment and cost estimating skills for analyzing alternative solutions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Ability to work well with others

  • Ability to present ideas to diverse audiences

  • Ability to use MS Project and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

  • Knowledge of DC BUS Backup power systems

  • Technical background (Highly preferred)

  • Excel Macros

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
