Job Description:
Leidos is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our federal customer within the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Responsibilities include:
Provide guidance to FEMA’s leadership and engineers on developing and building a secure and robust cloud infrastructure
Design and implement visibility and monitoring solutions for Identity Access Management (IDM) solutions
Design and implement visibility and monitoring solutions for Network Access Control (NAC) Solutions
Make architecture recommendations for building out IDM & NAC services that are secure and meet security needs
Coordinate directly with senior customer leadership on recommendations, planning, and paths forward for IDM & NAC, automation and transitioning
Collaborate with the engineer team to design cyber security solutions
Ability to collect customer requirements, design, and automate security controls, data collection, and other processes to enhance operational support and metrics
Aid in the integration of monitoring solutions for mobile assets
Solve challenging problems involving system and environment internals, to provide solutions that are simple to use, but can be customized to meet customer needs
Collaborate directly as a SME with stakeholders related to build releases and ensure builds provide a consistent core foundation for hosting government and commercial applications
Quickly adapt to various APIs to support automation for security operation needs
Find innovative ways to streamline overall Security operations, investigative and incident response tasks
Support technologies and products, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, RedHat Linux, Git, Python, Automation of CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Integrate directly with a team of Security Operation Engineers to develop customized solutions to customer challenges
Qualifications
Must have at least 8 years of progressive technical experience that demonstrates relevant skills in Cybersecurity Engineering and IDM technologies.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline. Additional applicable military or relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Cybersecurity-related advanced certification
Security Operations experience
Must have hands-on experience with a variety of security tools
Ability to apply security first principles to solve complex technical challenges
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.
Must be a US citizen and be able to pass a government background check.
Desirable Skills
Python/Ansible programming or other scripting languages preferred familiarity
Experience with automation development preferred
Knowledge of Splunk and integrating tools with Splunk
Previous knowledge/experience with Tenable Security Center and/or Tenable.io
Previous knowledge/experience with Forescout
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
