Job Description:
Leidos Sterling Integration has a job opening for a Material Handler for a production and integration facility supporting DoD customers. The candidate shall be responsible for performing a wide array of warehouse jobs.
IMPACT: Works to achieve day-to-day objectives that consist of non-routine activities and have significant impact on the work output. Works independently under limited supervision.
COMPLEXITY: Solves initially unclear problems and issues, which may require some analysis to understand and resolve. May be required to use discretion within the family's normal operating procedure to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the family.
COMMUNICATION: Effectively communicate with all levels of internal staff including Engineering, Program Managers, Procurement, Production Manager and external suppliers.
KNOWLEDGE: Has a basic understanding of all aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Primary Responsibilities Expected, but not limited to the following:
Support incoming materials receipt and inspection
Stock inventoried materials on shelves
Pick materials for production orders and deliver to assigned POCs
Perform cycle counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies
Setup and connect IT equipment for remote configuring
Coordinate large (pallet) shipments of materials through receiving and distribution phases
Support inventory management of company-owned, government-owned, and customer-owned assets Package and ship products
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Experience in a Hardware Production environment
Familiarity with MRP systems, preferably Costpoint
Ability to manage multiple activities in parallel
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail is critical
Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work through issues with all levels of team members
Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
Ability to lift 50 pounds, to stand for prolonged periods, and to climb ladders to pull inventory from shelves
Current Pallet Lift or Forklift Certification
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Foundational understanding of ISO, Quality Assurance, and Configuration Management practices.
Proactive approach to solving problems.
Understanding of Electrostatic Display (ESD), and materials protection.
Understanding of Government Forms (Material Inspection and Receiving, Requisition and Invoice/Shipping, and Material Movement)
Pay Range:
Pay Range $33,150.00 - $51,000.00 - $68,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
