Job Description:
Designs Windows and/or Linux software applications or systems based on government-driven requirements for the purpose of collecting, processing, and/or dissemination of data.
Primary Responsibilities include:
-Contribute to system-level design and partitioning in order to optimize overall system performance and reliability.
-Translate detailed design into computer software.
-Test, debug, and refine computer software to produce the required product.
-Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation.
-Enhance software to reduce operating times or improve efficiency.
-May provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
-Eight (8) or more years of technical experience as a developer on host applications and/or embedded processing systems.
-Experience in deriving design specifications for functional activities.
-Five (5) or more years of technical experience as a developer or software architect working on collections in support of law enforcement or intelligence agencies.
-Experience in Windows and/or Linux application and driver development.
-Ability to develop, troubleshoot, and test complex software to satisfy design objectives for applicable Government computer equipment.
-Experience in networking protocols such as TCP/IP and network-based communication protocols, including reverse-engineering of applications.
-Experience in the use of programming languages such as C, C++, C# and .NET Framework.
-Proven success migrating applications from on-premises environments to commercial cloud hosting environments.
-Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience OR Master of Science Degree in Information Systems and 10 to 13 years of prior relevant experience.
-Must be a US Citizen.
-Must have Top Secret Clearance – Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Eligible
Preferred Qualifications:
-AWS SC2S experience
-AWS Certification
-Experience in Agile Development methodologies
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
