Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Sheet Metal worker to join our team in Springfield VA. The Sheet Metal Worker will be required to fabricate, build, and install various types of metal structures and equipment for facility maintenance and installation projects. The individual will be responsible for Fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, and drainpipes. Work may involve any of the following: installing chilled water pipes, sprinkler piping, setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts for heating, air conditioning, fabrication of stands, display cases, etc.
Individual must be able to determine project requirements, such as scope, assembly sequences, or required methods or materials, using blueprints, drawings, or written or verbal instructions.
The position does require working with other trades with plumbing, replacing or installing office furniture, etc.
Basic Qualifications
3 -- 5 years’ experience in sheet metal and fabrication. Ability to work in Team environment. Experience with all facets of sheet metal work. Be experienced and able to use hand tools and power tools. Work and maintain knowledge of various construction materials among which include wood, fiberglass, steel, and concrete.
- Have a good understanding and ability to follow EHS practices across responsible work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Capable of delivering great customer service.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 35 lbs
- Ability to climb and work off ladders.
Required Qualifications:
- United States citizen with TS/SCI clearance w/ Poly
- Welding certification
- Be able to interpret blueprints, drawings, or written or verbal instructions
- Be able to make a material list from blueprints, drawings, or written or verbal instructions
- Be able to take lead for construction project from start to finish
- Be well organized and able to multi-task
- Have good verbal and written communications skills
Pay Range:
