Job Description:
Leidos has an immediate need for a full-time Program Information Officer (PIO) in support of the W93 Federal Program Manager (FPM) and W93 Project Team. The PIO is a newly defined program support position within the Life Extension Programs (LEPs).
The PIO will provide on-site information management and response support to the W93 Program. This activity will require coordinating with Team Leads, Program Managers at the National Labs, staff at the design and production agencies, and other NNSA leadership and staff to prepare responses to information requests.
The work performed is extensive in scope and requires an experienced, self-starting individual able to work both independently and as part of a team; superior writing and communication skills; strong project planning and project management skills; adept at creative thinking and problem solving; able to integrate data and information from a variety of sources, including inferring trends and/or anomalies in such information; ability to work in a highly dynamic environment; and interface with broad range of federal and military senior staff and leadership.
This is a full-time contractor-support position located on-site at the NNSA offices in Albuquerque NM.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as primary interface for NA-125.5, NA-125, NA-12, NA-18, US Navy, etc. on project information requests, narratives, SSMP (Stockpile Stewardship and Management Plan) drafts, and other W93 communication policy issues.
Manage annual, quarterly and other periodic reporting requirements, including program reviews, providing programmatic input, and coordinating NNSA site meetings associated with program deliverables.
Directly preparing, and/or coordinating the work of others to prepare requested project information deliverables.
Ensure that action items/responses are documented and completed in a professional and timely manner, and in conformance with DP, NNSA and DOE policy, procedure and precedent, including compliance with managing classified information.
Develop and maintain appropriate repository of W93 communication information on multiple systems (classified and unclassified).
Manage electronic filing (e.g., SharePoint, etc.) of key resources and ensure that materials are disseminated and available to all staff, consultants and partners.
Respond to ad hoc requests for technical information, including updates to management, addressing information requests and reviewing presentations.
Participate in external meetings, conferences and events on behalf of W93.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Draft and/or edit new and existing W93 communication materials including fact sheets, press releases, reports and/or web copy.
Maintain standard set of W93 presentations for organizational-wide use.
Provide project management and strategic support on communications initiatives, design projects and other special projects as needed.
Project manage W93’s distribution and dissemination lists and execute organizational email campaigns and outreach.
Oversee project teams in the planning, tracking, and execution of communication deliverables from initiation to completion.
Occasional travel.
Qualifications:
Minimum BA/BS degree in science, engineering or technical degree, or a relevant field with appropriate experience.
Minimum of 10-15 years of related experience desired; however flexible depending on nature and extent of relevant work experience.
NNSA field/headquarters and/or DoD support experience desired.
Interagency experience desired.
Nuclear weapons experience desired.
Ability to track and follow-through on multiple often unanticipated daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
Expertise using MS Excel, Power Point, Word, SharePoint, and similar programs.
Strong research, writing and editing skills; ability to synthesize information into meaningful messages for various audiences.
Skilled at delivering results on short timelines.
Ability to think strategically and prioritize competing demands.
Demonstrated experience with web-based research and literature reviews.
Self-starter: ability to work as a team player and independently.
Attention to detail required, able to multi-task, strong organizational skills.
Tolerant of some ambiguity, works well under pressure, assertive and highly organized.
Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to coordinate work and goals on multiple simultaneous projects effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in developing briefings for senior and executive management.
Active DoD TS and/or DOE Q required.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
