The Intelligence Group at Leidos is looking for a Software Solution Architect with IT System Engineering / Solution Architect experience to join our Reston, VA based team. This opportunity will supports growth to existing programs by providing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
Specific skills required include a deep knowledge of building out large-scale environments and help customers solve their more demanding challenges via technology, modernization, and transformation utilizing proven methods and solutions. As part of a creative, forward-thinking team, you will help shape solutions to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. As a Senior Software Engineer/ Solution Architect, you will work with subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs, in proposals, and on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions, you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos solution, explain technical features and transformation strategies, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential problems.
Role & Responsibility:
Architect, develop, deploy, and maintain features for Cloud Based applications
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
Collaborate with teams of developers, participating in regular code reviews.
Perform integration testing as well as collaborating with other internal teams.
Communicate with project customers or end users in order to fully understand, plan, and implement feedback and feature requests.
Familiarity with Agile methodology and framework
Extensive experience with REACT/Angular, JavaScript, Python, C++, C#.
Extensive experience with working with databases such as PostG, SQL etc.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or software engineering with 10+ years’ experience.
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software development.
Minimum 7 years’ experience supporting US Intelligence Community customers
Minimum 5 years’ experience leading technical teams
Strong working knowledge of Cloud, High Performance Computing (HPC), and/or hybrid solutions
Strong technical breadth and depth in support of the government markets and in particular in government mission and enterprise IT design, implementation, operations, and modernization
Experienced professional in contract performance with demonstrated technical leadership and customer relationship building
Proven track record of generating on-contract-growth through insertion of innovation and technology on existing programs
Comprehensive industry awareness of leading capability providers to enhance our technical solution offerings
Experience as a solution architect or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
Ability to assess, identify, recruit and retain talent to grow technical expertise on current programs and build talent for future program proposals and execution in a large organization
Ability to author, present, and articulate problem sets and associated solution elements in settings supporting customers, business development, program delivery, technical teams, and executives
Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
Experience with implementing and maintaining unit testing.
Proficiency with Git or comparable version control system.
Mentor and act as a role model for junior and intermediate developers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI, or a Top Secret clearance with a current SSBI, and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly level clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
