We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Technical Architect to support our DHMSM program in Vienna, Virginia, providing modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. Leidos, along with core partners Cerner, Accenture, and Henry Schein, will support the DHMSM Program Executive Office (PEO) and the Defense Health Agency in the global deployment of our proposed EHR system that will deliver improved system capability to the DoD whenever and wherever healthcare is required. The DHMSM Technical Architect will support the solution strategy of defense health by developing and implementing technologies or services aligned with Leidos’ existing EHR technologies to help DHMSM/DHA achieve quantifiable clinical and financial performance improvement objectives. The successful candidate will provide thought leadership to drive performance improvement, technology enablement, and emerging healthcare trends in the form of standardized assessments, workflows, and care planning initiatives at scale. This position will provide technical architecture insight to the program team on both the local and enterprise levels. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, and collaborative approach, with the ability to adapt and lead change courageously.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Provide technical architecture guidance across the engineering lifecycle (analyze, design, build, test, deploy and support).
Participate in the introduction of new capabilities and the enhancement or troubleshooting of existing capabilities.
Assist in the development of detailed designs, executive briefings, data flow diagrams and everything in between.
Leverage technical architecture experience and understand/learn new technologies when encountered.
Meld commercial products with custom developed solutions to meet functional requirements while working within the constraints of the client’s IT and cyber infrastructure
Perform functional allocation to identify required tasks and their interrelationships. Assist in the identification of resources required for each task, as needed.
Ensure compliance with corporate/program technical guidelines.
Leverage requisite knowledge and expertise so recognized in the professional community that the government is able to qualify the individual as an expert in the field for an actual task order.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years of relevant technical architecture experience
US Citizenship required – must be able to obtain and maintain ADP2/IT2 Public Trust government security clearance, per contract requirements.
Related defense health experience, EHR system architecture and implementation
Technical knowledge with hands-on architect experience in system interfaces, performance improvements, AWS related areas
Documentation of data flows and creation of system diagrams
Demonstrating leadership skills and possessing a track record across various life-cycle phases (cross-functional experience highly desirable)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully interact with internal and external team members, including executive leadership, as well as technology and solutions resources at a variety of levels, as well as the ability to express complex technical concepts into business terms.
Hands on experience with requirements interpretation and decomposition, as well as software development methodologies, including testing
Experience reporting and managing SLAs, gathering performance metrics, analyzing and reporting.
HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
Familiarity with DoD Configuration Management and Systems Engineering methodologies
Experience with DoD, VA or Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) programs and their system architecture - preferred.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $113,100.00 - $174,000.00 - $234,900.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
