Leidos Defense Group is currently seeking a Training Manager (Standards and Evaluation Team) in support of the AFINC II contract for the highly visible 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) at Maxwell Air force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama, which provides a world-wide support mission. The 26 NOS is responsible for the intranet support of the entire Air Force network. The mission of the 26 NOS is to operate and defend the Air Force (AF) Enterprise computer network consisting of the AF Wide Area Network (WAN) routers, AF Network Increment 1 (AFNET Inc 1) Gateways, and the 26 NOS Local Area Network (LAN) assets.
The Training Manager selected for this position analyzes and provides assistance in the validation of mission readiness and the effectiveness of unit network personnel. Additionally, the 26 NOS Standards and Evaluation supports, including documentation of crew members’ qualifications and capabilities with both automated and manual systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyzes and evaluates 26 NOS training systems, processes and curriculum and develops recommendations to meet requirements.
Manages Patriot Excalibur (PEX) accounts
Conducts analysis and research necessary to develop, recommend changes and revise training courses.
Develops and revises courses and prepare appropriate training catalogs.
Prepares student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms)
Trains personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops and seminars.
Prepares reports and monitor training tasks in support of the goals of the PM and the Government sponsor(s) using standard training standards and software and hardware programs such as modeling and simulation and prototyping efforts.
Provides input to the Program Manager on which decisions for training validation and or modifications of specified items or systems.
Work closely with the Operations teams, Government, and managers to advise them on status Mission Ready personnel and their assigned tasks to maintain readiness.
Generate, provide, and enable ad hoc and automated reports and real-time analysis of the Mission Ready personnel for 26 NOS Senior Management.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all internal customers across multiple locations.
Must have prior knowledge and understanding of the following:
Air Force ACCI 17-202v2
Air Force ACCMAN 17-2v1-3
Patriot Excalibur (PEX) System Fundamentals
Basic Qualifications
Must have experience with Patriot Excalibur (PEX)
Must have Air Force training knowledge and experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
Requires high school diploma and 1-5 years of prior relevant experience
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Must have an active Secret Clearance
An IAT certification: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CISSP or SSCP
Preferred Qualifications
List additional skills and experience that is “nice to have” but not required.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
