This IPAM System Administrator will deploy, operate and maintain DHCP, DNS, and NTP services supporting multiple organizations utilizing the IP Address Management (IPAM) appliance, InfoBlox, on multiple customer networks. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities of customers.
Individuals in this role may be required to remotely log into the end users' endpoint (desktops and/or servers) in order to perform technical software configuration, rebooting, and other remedial actions.
Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the InfoBlox appliance.
Rapidly distinguish isolated user problems from system-level issues.
Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to collect data, conduct analysis, develop, and implement solutions associated with incident tickets and requirements.
Establish comprehensive availability and capacity management solution using lessons learned
Develop solutions to technical issues.
Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures for common O&M tasks.
Provide mentorship for junior team members and staff who utilize the system day-to-day.
Provide follow-up reports (technical findings, feedback, resolution steps taken) for root cause analysis, engineering technical assessment and process improvement initiatives.
Support customer requirements and remediation.
Update operations and maintenance documentation for 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel.
InfoBlox DDI Certification (DDI Professional, Core DDI Administration, Core DDI Troubleshooting, or other DDI-centric certification)
Experience with interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems
Extensive experience with managing, updating, and upgrading InfoBlox DDI appliances in a production environment to minimize impact on customers and other services
Experience with monitoring multiple appliances on multiple networks to ensure the health and availability of the service
Experience backing up and restoring InfoBlox configurations
Experience working as a Tier 2 system administrator: familiar with using desktop software applications such as web browsing and client software, and IT Service Management software such as Service Now.
Knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices.
Extensive experience troubleshooting issues for enterprise scale InfoBlox implementations.
Experience with deploying, operating and maintaining IP Address Management systems utilizing the InfoBlox DDI appliance for DNS, DHCP and NTP services.
Experience with DNS service and functionality in an enterprise environment
Experience with subnetting and IPAM best business practices
Highly experienced with DHCP services to include creating and managing scopes, verifying/configuring scope options, and troubleshooting IP address reservation failures in a multi-site enterprise environment.
Experience with troubleshooting NTP sync issues between local and higher tier remote NTP sources.
Experience with performing daily health checks on the service, validating zone transfers are working properly, and ensure communications with the IC Root devices are reliable.
Experience with log reviews, incident analysis, and identification of issue trends
Experience analyzing system performance and metrics to determine problems impacting customer experience
Time management skills.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Track record of working effectively individually and within a team, to work toward improved processes and results.
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
ITIL Foundation certification
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 6 years
Education equivalency of Associate’s with 10 years of related experience or High School Diploma with 12 years of related experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
TS/SCI with Polygraph required for this position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a poly.
Pay Range:Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00
