Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to work on-site in support of the Civil Rights Division in Washington, DC. You will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.

The Network Engineer functions in a high-level position with regard to major systems installations and requirements. Responsibilities include:
Analyzes the system needs for especially large and complex litigation support requirement
Recommends overall hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions,
Identifies technologies, designs and implements overall system solutions, including procuring hardware, software, and communications devices, installing and integrating them, testing and troubleshooting,
Develops user training and develops comprehensive system configuration documentation and documents procedures.
Establishes and enforces appropriate system and data security measures, including firewalls and disaster recovery systems.
Designs protocols for overall system operation and maintenance.
Research, design, and integrate innovative technical solutions to litigation support needs.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) plus 8+ years of experience including full cycle experience, from design through maintenance.
Demonstrated success in analyzing user requirements and delivering whole system solutions ( 175 Servers, 4 Physical sites, and 70 Switches) , including hands-on experience with procuring, installing, and integrating complex information systems.
Hands on knowledge and use of: Network patch and fiber cabling (SC and LC), Extreme switches, Aruba OS/Aruba wireless, Network hardware\Software, Troubleshooting VMware/Virtual server /Virtual Private Networking
Must be very familiar with the current state of technology as applies to the systems environment.
Must be familiar with current DOJ office automation systems.
Must be thoroughly familiar with DOJ security and accessibility
Must be a US Citizen
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with litigation support environments extremely helpful, including experience with very large, image-enabled document databases.
Undergraduate degree preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines.
Hands on knowledge and use of: Cat5e, Cat6and Cat6a, Campus management that encompass multiple sites which incorporates multiple vendors, Aruba Airwave, Monitoring performance and maintaining acceptable uptime with the use of monitoring and troubleshooting with various software tools, Wireshark, Putty, Solar Winds NTA/NPM/NCM/Dameware, Firewall request, TIC access, VOIP infrastructure, Providing support and troubleshooting for video telecommunication equipment
