Senior Software Integration Engineer (ENG1023T5)
Leidos has an opening for an experienced Senior Software Integration Engineer to provide software development and integration guidance supporting the development and sustainment of advanced technologies. The successful candidate will provide expert advice to program leadership on industry best practices for embedded/real-time operating system development, test, configuration management, and quality assurance.
Primary focus and responsibilities:
- Manage the software configuration control processes
- Represent the program office in weekly configuration management boards
- Evaluate and make recommendations on adjudication of software deficiency reports
- Provide expert consultation on quality assurance and software safety practices to a government/industry team
- Provide software development expertise to anomaly investigations and system development IPTs
- Advise the development of hardware and software functionality and performance specifications
- Work with government and industry teams to develop test plans and evaluate results
- Develop change requests and analyze the impact of those changes to the overall system
- Coordinate product and process improvements for the overall workflow and processes that are being used
- Work with the Chief Engineer to ensure requests align with the program’s goals and vision
- Oversee modeling processes for the models developed for the mission planning system
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years recent experience developing software for real-time operating systems and safety of flight systems
- Knowledge of software computer design, development, test, integration and quality assurance
- BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering from an accredited university
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting USG acquisition programs
- Knowledge of data interface standards and communication protocols including RS-422, RS-485, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Internet Protocol Communication, C, C++, Java, and VxWorks is Highly Desired
- Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures is Highly Desired
- System safety/airworthiness process experience for FAA or DoD certification is desired
- BS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering from an accredited university
Clearance:
- An active TS//SCI clearance is required in order to be considered. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered. Must be willing to take a CI poly

Pay Range:
Pay Range $118,300.00 - $182,000.00 - $245,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
