Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Network Systems Security Engineer supporting NASA on the Cybersecurity and Privacy Enterprise Support Services Contract (CyPrESS) at Kennedy Space Center.

Position Summary

Working on the CyPrESS contract, you will work with project managers, IT Security Leads, Network Engineers, and Information Assurance Professionals to develop and implement cybersecurity  standards and procedures,. You’ll support analysis, design, and development of security features for key systems and support the integration and implementation of cybersecurity solutions for enterprise systems across NASA. You’ll implement security measures to resolve vulnerability’s, mitigated risks and recommend security changes to assets as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• With guidance from more senior engineers, perform system capabilities analysis, programming, installs, tests, and validates operational automation and communications software as specified by installation standards, manufacturer’s guidance, and licensing terms. 
• Scope of responsibility includes analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of computer software in support of distinct product hardware (computer or other electrical/electronic device) or technical (computer) service line(s) or business. 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SW Engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent experience
• Three years or more of direct, applicable experience
• One or more DoD 8570.01-M Cyber Certifications
• OPM Tier 2 or higher LOC, must be a US citizen and be able to achieve a public trust
• Experience with multiple computer languages, data privacy and protection, identify management, incident management, Information Assurance, Risk Management, Software Development, Software Testing and Evaluation, System Administration, Systems Integration, Systems Testing and Evaluation, Threat Analysis, Vulnerabilities Assessment, and Web Technology, Web Technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cybersecurity Certification including CISSP, GCIA, CEH, GCIH, GCFA, or CSIH

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:   Requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience
