The Defense Group at Leidos has a career opening for a highly capable and experienced System Architect to lead a team of Developers for the implementation of a Real Property Management system. The Systems Architect must have a background in successfully collaborating with a variety of customers and stakeholders, helping to fill the communication gap between technical and non-technical specialists.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
Perform systems and requirements analysis for Army real property systems including geospatial capabilities.
Analyze and develop solutions for real property management including the oversight development of all systems, databases, algorithms, and geospatial integration.
Research, design, develop real property systems and subsystems including their processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of systems engineering concepts and applying these concepts to software-intensive & cloud hosted systems.
Responsible for the delivery of high-level designs, specifications, requirements traceability and working with all engineering disciplines in both definition and delivery of system wide changes.
Write test scripts focused on automation and continuous integration and continuous delivery of software.
Develop testing strategies with support from team staff.
Interface with requirements and developer teams to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables, and resolve SE issues.
Participate in developing and presenting ideas and system improvements to team and customer as needed.
Provide oversight, quality control, and technical leadership, to including subcontractors.
Provide technical briefings (oral and written) to customers and other stakeholders.
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
- Experience with large data driven solutions, database design, application development for large databases.
Master’s degree or equivalent in experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
6+ years working in the engineering field with experience as a Systems Engineer/Architect.
Hands-on experience in full stack development, to include Java and/or .Net, Web services, Database, and/or web application development.
Design and development of software in a microservice architecture.
Experience/knowledge of agile and lean processes and techniques, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
Experience executing agile and DevSecOps processes; has used agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git to manage work and collaborate with other teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Stack technologies such as: Azure, Power BI, Access, SQL, PostgreSQL, Visual Studio.
Knowledge of ArcGIS or other geospatial software.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others, including customers and subcontractors.
Security Clearance Requirement
An active DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications, not required.
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Experience as a team lead.
Experience with Leidos EngineeringEDGE NextGen
Familiarity with Army Real Property concepts and Real Property Information Model, or other DoD property management systems.
Experience with implementing solutions within cArmy or other DoD cloud environments.
Pay Range:Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
