Job Description:

Leidos is currently sourcing candidates for a CBRNE Project Manager to support Security Engineering Programs (SEP) within Homeland Security Solutions in Washington, DC. The CBRNE Project Manager will serve as the personnel manager leading and directing the efforts of a highly trained team of CBRNE Field Technicians. Utilizing extensive experience in detection and identification technologies, successful candidate will coordinate the overall efforts of two overlapping shifts covering sixteen hours of the day. Successful candidate will assess and prioritize assigned tasks based on the requirements of the contract and delegate and oversee the completion of tasks in accordance with our established procedures. Successful candidate will require a in-depth understanding of maintenance management and a baseline understanding of chemical analysis, low voltage electrical, pneumatic systems, and mechanical service. 

As the personnel manager, successful candidate will be responsible for interviewing and hiring new employees to fill vacancies. Candidate will personally ensure employees are properly trained to each new product and service. Development and sustainment of a well organized and effective team will be of primary importance in success. Candidate will be responsible for providing employees with regular input on progress and areas of improvement as part of our annual review process. Successful candidate will provide regular updates on service requirements, review and approve budget estimates, and ensure proper recording and tracking of service, both scheduled and reactive.

First Shift: Monday-Friday 6 am to 2 pm

Primary Responsibilities
• Apply knowledge of operation, capabilities and limitations of equipment to ensure highest level of operational readiness
• Assess operational requirements in order to assign the appropriate technical proficiency to each task.
• Ensure integrity of the teams, fill vacancies expeditiously, and develop technical proficiency within the team
• Maintain work records; prepare clear and concise reports
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Learn and observe all appropriate safety precautions as required, including, but not limited to, OSHA General Industry Safety Orders, Respiratory Protection Program, and Safety Directives.

Desired Experience:
• Past military experience in working with Chemical, Biological and Radiological equipment

• Operational familiarity with Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, Fourier Transform Infrared, Electro-Chemical reactive sensors, Fluorescence, Scintillation, Radiological aerosol analysis 

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance management

• Familiarity with basic networking

•  Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems including pneumatics

• Baseline understanding of commercial HVAC

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in directing workforce and managing expenditures

Basic Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years’ experience
• Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be a US citizen
• Candidate must be able to follow written and oral instructions without supervision
• Ability to work independently and direct a subcontractor or team
• A valid driver’s license or the ability to meet the transportation requirements of this position.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Hands on technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or any of the basic sciences
• Basic networking experience

• Technical experience in analytical Chemistry, Biology, or Radiological science.

• Ability to work flexible hours (on call, shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Past military experience in working with Chemical, Biological and Radiological equipment

• Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical processes

• CBRNE experience (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Explosive) (preferred)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
