The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a Surface Sonar Installation Advanced Planner to work at our customer site on Naval Air Station Oceana, Dam Neck Annex, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Surface Sonar mission. In this mission, Leidos provides engineering and technical support for the United States Navy’s Undersea Warfare (USW) Systems. Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing:
The Surface Sonar Installation Advanced Planner is responsible for configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management. Individual also works closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle. Individual provides change management and product configuration management guidance. Specific tasks:
Support PEO IWS5 Installation Manager and CDSA DNA by developing and updating all Ship Change Documents (SCD) completely, accurately and on time.
Analyze proposed fielding plan changes for impacts to in progress or new SCDs
Prepare SCD presentations and deliver in time for Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) Configuration Control Board (CCB) scheduling.
Maintain up-to-date fielding plan data in Navy Data Environment-Entitled Process
Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and provide technical comments and installation impacts.
Ensure all maturity requirements are met for scheduling AN/SQQ-89 related installations, track estimated completion dates, and monitor completion status.
Participate in various installation related meetings and teleconferences.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education – To Land This Gig You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree)
3+ years of professional experience in planning for shipboard modernization for any Combat System
Expertise in NMP-MOM business practices and standards
Expertise in TS9090-310
Ability to construct Ship Change Document from source materials
Understanding of government finance and ability to construct cost benefit analysis for combat systems
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:
Ability to read and apply principles from Technical Data Packages, engineering change documents, configuration/maintenance plans, Installation Control Drawings, and Ship Installation Drawings
Experience in planning for shipboard modernization in Fleet concentration areas and various shipyards
Ability to obtain and maintain passport
Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Pay Range:Pay Range $52,650.00 - $81,000.00 - $109,350.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
