Job Description:
The Health Group within Leidos has a career opportunity for a talented and experienced Database Administrator/Developer to work on an Agile team. The work will support the Leidos Army Medical Operations Data Systems (MODS) program. The successful candidate will serve as a Database Administrator/Developer on an Agile team in a DevSecOps environment. The work will create custom software products by combining ready-to-use components.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work on one or more Agile teams and with customers to design user interfaces, automate workflows, design data models, maintain and/or improve databases, in relation to customer requirements.
Design and develop analytic products and system content.
Adhere to release management procedures.
As needed, address customer inquiries and resolve issues; provide recommendations.
Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports and queries.
Coordinate and work with other technical team members to develop relational databases and secondary databases.
Identify inefficiencies in current databases
Produce adhoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.
Create and maintain technical documentation; produce artifacts, such as data dictionaries, diagrams, etc.
Support the implementation of data dashboards to display data in differing formats.
Participate in the design, maintenance, enhancement, and coding of relational databases.
Analyze and determine information needs and elements; data relationships and attributes; data flow and storage requirements; and data output and reporting capabilities.
Coordinate new data development, ensuring consistency and integration with existing data warehouse structure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Related database analysis experience; modeling and implementation.
Ability to produce visualization of data for leadership decision-making.
Knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, i.e. Java, .NET
Good understanding of data development lifecycle and the tools that support it, such as SSIS design tools.
Knowledge of data modeling concepts and layers in between.
Support mission-oriented business functions and execute re-engineering processes as needed.
Technical knowledge of relational database design, metadata management techniques, and a working understanding of tools used for database, content, and metadata management
Experience in Agile development environment and proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
Basic Qualifications

Responsible for entire projects or processes within a technical area, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring efforts and tasks.
Develops technical solutions that require collaboration with team members, deep analyses and understanding of impact on the end-product or solution.
Responsible for coordinating projects, coaching, and reviewing work of other technical staff.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once and ability to reprioritize projects as necessary.
Excellent technical skills to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills working in a customer-focused team environment with ability to communicate frequently and effectively with internal and external customers, including high-level clients.
Must be a US citizen and able to obtain an IT/ADP II Public Trust clearance
BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
Previous or current favorable clearance
COBOL experience or understanding a plus
Previous functional and/or business systems analyst experience or understanding a plus
Pay Range:
Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
