Job Description:
The Leidos corporate benefits team is seeking an HR professional with excellent leadership skills and the ability to contribute to Total Rewards goals ofachieving a high-level of alignment with HR enterprise strategies with excellence in tactical execution. This position will straddle both the Retirement and H&W teams, with a unique opportunity for cross-functional development.
This individual in this position may also be groomed to be the successor for the current Retirement Plans Director.
Primary Responsibilities – Retirement (75%)
This position will manage and oversee the new long-term vendor relationships related to the on-going operations of the legacy Gibbs & Cox defined benefit plan (frozen):
- Actuarial/Mercer: Analytics re: periodic funding status, estimate ER contributions, calculate distributions to terminated employees in pay status
- Investment Advisory/Mercer: Managing the assets in the trust to meet estimated funding & distribution needs
- Custodial/Trust/Bank of America: Custodian of the physical assets
Also with respect to the legacy Gibbs & Cox defined benefit plan, the individual in this role will be responsible for ensuring the timely legal and audit reporting for the plan, compliance with IRS and DOL requirements, providing the Retirement Plan Committee with information to satisfy its oversight responsibilities with respect to that plan, and dealing with any day-to-day problems, communications, questions and participant issues.
Other Retirement role responsibilities:
- Lead on Communication Strategy --Lead on Investment Issues
- Responsible for scheduling, organizing and gather agenda materials for the RPC Quarterly Meetings and Annual Fiduciary Meetings
- POC for Leidos Legal, Audit and Compliance Activities
Secondary Responsibilities – Health & Welfare (25%)
- Vendor management responsibilities
- M&A Due Diligence and Integration Support
- Support large and mid-size capture/bid & proposal efforts
- Special Projects and Initiatives
Basic Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in defined benefit plan administration and operations, defined contribution plan administration and operations, and HR project management. Experience managing insurance carriers, plan and program vendors, and acting as the liaison between both the company and employees. Strong communication skills, especially those related to change management, are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of 15+ years of experience, with expertise across a broad-range of retirement, health & welfare and administrative subject areas is strongly desired. Experience in HR information systems, payroll, and other services is a plus.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
