Job Description:
Responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding.
Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems. Duties include performing systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.
IMPACT: Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. Recommends and develops new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of function’s strategy and operations. Leads and manages works of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs.
COMPLEXITY: Resolves highly complex problems using significant application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation. Develops solutions that are highly innovative and achieved through research and integration of best practices.
COMMUNICATION: Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project. Works to convince others to accept area’s view/current practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
LEADERSHIP & TALENT MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE: Has in-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts, and their application across range of programs. Serves as a subject matter expert within technical domain area.
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Requirements:
Implementing new technology solutions from project inception through product implementation design and deployment
Manage all aspects of Engineering Test Lab and continue to refine testing capabilities
Writing design documents detailing all aspects of new solutions, expertise with Visio and PowerPoint
Designing and managing IaaS and PaaS infrastructure in Microsoft Azure
Strong technical understanding of PKI and Microsoft Certificate Services
Strong technical understanding of Federation, especially related to Microsoft ADFS
Expert level expertise with managing all aspects of Active Directory and Group Policy
Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities
Technical expertise implementing and managing VMware products including vSphere, vCenter, vROPS, and vRealize Automation
Must be able to mentor and aid junior level engineers on projects to meet deadlines
Ability to understand the technical requirements of a project and implement within the deadline given for the project
Leads in planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance, ability to troubleshoot all areas of server infrastructure
Expertise using other Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Identity Manager and Microsoft Endpoint Protection
Works with Business Applications, vendors, consultants, contractors, and troubleshoots issues with IT personnel from other Divisions and Departments
Experience managing Azure AD and ability to troubleshoot issues
Experience with packet capture tools such as Wireshark to aid in troubleshooting
Experience with basic Microsoft SQL Server implementation management
Experience with implementing and managing PIV authentication is a plus
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
