Job Description:

The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and is seeking a DAFA Project Manager located at Ft. Meade, MD.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:

The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.  

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: 

•Must hold an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. (US Citizenship required)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Staff and lead DAFA migration teams with individuals certified in a standardized migration approach that maintains a mission-first focus that minimizes risks.

•Work across team members to document migration lessons learned for continual improvement of future migration activities.

•Work closely with Operations, DAFA Migration Leads, Mission Assurance Officers (MAOs), and Mission Integrity Teams (MITs) as part of migration change and release planning and execution.

•Develop resource loaded project schedules and managing the tasks, dependencies, and risks in order to deliver migration project on time and within budget.

•Develop and mentor a high-performing team across diverse IT skillsets and foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment

•Brief and present project plans to key stakeholders.

•Oversee and coordinate migration planning activities while monitoring and managing risks.

•Identify automation opportunities to drive improved service delivery.

•Communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

•Experience planning and executing large/complex IT migrations and consolidations.

•Experience with discovery, event management and ITSM tools.

•In-depth understanding of cloud and network topologies, both transport and IP.

•Must have an active ITIL Certification or obtain one within 6 months of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Familiarization of DISA, DOD regulations, and directives

•Project Integration and Services experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $156,000.00 - $210,600.00
