The Integrated Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide mission critical system support to our customer. On our team as a Platform DevOps Engineer, you’ll use your experience to streamline our software development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your clients’ environments with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your technical knowledge, you’ll work directly with your clients to inform strategy and design, while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process with Amazon Web Services (AWS), software integration, and cloud architecture and Kubernetes. You’ll recommend tools such as Kubernetes to help your clients manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skills in areas like Containerization and Microservices while developing critical cloud platforms for our client. Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating and maintaining all components that comprise the DevOps environment
- Developing and maintaining scripts to automate tool deployment to an AWS cloud environment and other tasks
- Scripting and maintaining build environments
- Working with project teams to integrate their products into the DevOps environment
- Conducting round table discussions on capabilities
- Defining enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices
- Codifying software development best practices across the enterprise
- Developing automated testing framework within DevOps processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelors degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
- 4+ years of experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with supporting cloud applications or infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, including continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience
- Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Experience with the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM) or DevSecOps Maturity Model (DSOMM)
- Cloud certification, including AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification, Google Certified Professional – Cloud Architect, or MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
Pay Range:
Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
