Job Description:
The Integrated Solutions Division at Leidos is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager. The scope of the activities for this position includes managing and controlling the environmental health and safety requirements and inspections for construction and O&M repair and renovation associated with Intel customer facilities and critical infrastructure. You must have demonstrated experience in environmental health and safety as well-developed professional skills and a proven track record of delivering results. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team of people from across multiple organizations and the company will be crucial for success.
Primary Responsibilities
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety Program with goal of mitigating organizational risk.
Developing, implementing and maintaining inspection procedures and programs designed to minimize deficiencies and ensure compliance with existing Federal, State and local laws, regulations, licenses, permits and ordinances pertaining to health, safety and environmental control.
Major areas may include water, air, and land quality; radiological health and safety; liquid and solid waste disposal; and industrial and mine safety.
Identify potential or actual areas of non-compliance through personal on-site inspections.
Write technical reports based on the interpretation of data, observations, and current regulations regarding inspection findings and recommendations for corrective action
Basic Qualifications
3-10+ years’ experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety Program management for all phases of construction projects.
Requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree with 10+ years or prior relevant experience.
Experience working with the following tools: SharePoint, MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic fast-paced environment
Experience in Facilities Operations and Maintenance environment.
Current relevancy with the Intel customer will be considered a plus
Versed in the International Building Code, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Fire
Codes and the NEC in addition to general construction practices
Experience in all environmental health and safety aspects for building construction
Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand project scope and the applicability of environmental requirements.
Act as subject matter expert for project/program stakeholders.
Provide project support from planning through completion. Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OR Associated Safety Professional is highly desired.
Able to meet all requirements necessary to climb structures and oversee Fall Protection Program.
Confined Space assessment experience, program administration experience; Forklift Operator, Forklift Instructor; Aerial Lift Operator, and Aerial Lift Instructor Experience, are desired.
Should have highly developed presentation skills, comfortable conducting training classes, self-motivated and proactive team player, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficient using MS Office software.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $105,300.00 - $162,000.00 - $218,700.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
