The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and has an opening for a DAFA Associate Technical Lead located at Ft. Meade, MD.
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office.
•Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
•Design solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies. Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
•Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
•Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
•Review test plans to ensure that all steps have been completed and all requirements have been met before submitting test plans for approval
•Communicate with team members such as project managers, migration team, operations and others regarding project status, issues, or concerns.
•Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN’s, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), GRE Tunneling, IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.
•Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
•Understand the following protocols: IPSec, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
•Must have a DoD 870 IAT Level II compliant certification (i.e.- Security+ Certification).
•Proficiency with Juniper IOS or other IP/transport specific management tools (EMS) and general practices. Expertise in IP technologies, i.e. Networking architectures and methodologies and Voice Services.
•Expert Knowledge of IP principles.
•Proficiency in at least two or more of the following devices: Cisco VPN 3060, Cisco routers (2600, 3640 and 7200) and Cisco switches (3550, 3560, 3750 and 6500), Juniper routers, Windows XP, NT, and 2000, NSA Certified Type-1 Encryptors Juniper MX5 routers, Juniper SRX firewalls, Juniper EX switches, SONUS SBCs, KG175.

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
