Job Description:

The Leidos Health group is currently looking for a qualified Technical Writers to support an implementation of Oracle eBusiness Suite in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The project supports a critical national public health security mission. You will certainly find purpose with your work.

The project will cover, among other areas, Project Management, Technical architecture and cloud infrastructure, Core ERP implementation, Analytics and business intelligence configuration, Data migration, Warehouse interface implementation, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) validation.  Ultimately, our team reduces costs and supports innovation to streamline the financial and supply chain operations of a critical public health mission. The candidate can be located anywhere in the U.S. with no travel expected but must be able to work during Eastern Time Zone.

The candidate will be responsible for writing, editing, proofreading and/or providing writing support on non-technical and/or technical documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications. Duties may include designing and developing technical manuals, brochures, training materials, or other documentation for internal use, customer reference, marketing, or other purposes. The candidate will also be researching technical reference materials, gathering relevant technical information, coordinating with stakeholders or other experts, developing draft and final copies of documentation while ensuring documents meet editorial and government specifications and adhering to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.

Work as member of collaborative team in full lifecycle development, including analysis, design, implementation and training of an Oracle eBusiness Suite deployment.  Main responsibility will be technical writing for end-user documentation (manuals, release notes and other communications).  Candidate would also play a supporting role in other development team documentation and activities:

  • Using tools like Microsoft Visio to draw logical flow charts and other diagrams
  • Work with requirements analysts and developers to clarify requirements and ensure a common understanding of documented requirements
  • Testing application functionality to verify that they meet requirements and documentation reflects functionality accurately

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Associate's degree and 3+ years of professional information systems experience

REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Please be prepared to bring samples of writing, diagrams and/or graphics to interview.  Experience with Microsoft Office business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).  Good Understanding of information systems or workflow systems.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous experience working with Oracle eBusiness Suite, Supply Chain operations, pharmaceutical industry, and/or federal government agencies
  • Experience with flow-charting and creating diagrams with drawing programs (e.g. Visio).
  • Hands on experience with Scrum or other agile methods

Pay Range:

Pay Range $38,350.00 - $59,000.00 - $79,650.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
