The Defense Group of Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Test Engineer supporting the Cyber TRIDENT Program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of systems.
- Participates in the design and building of test scenarios.
- Writes test procedures and protocols to assess system reliability and evaluates the ability of systems to meet performance standards and specifications.
- Gathers test data and evaluates test results to determine if system designs and architecture meets specifications and performance expectations.
- Develops test simulations to evaluate how systems react under different conditions and analyzes system failure to assess the integrity and reliability of system performance.
- Defines debug protocols for test hardware and software.
- Analyzes test cases and scenarios and reports results.
- Collaborates with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade system performance.
- Provides technical advice to other organizations and leadership
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 - 8 years of experience in a relevant field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with detecting, tracking, reporting, and communicating any test defects effectively.
- Experience with life cycle of software in military simulation systems.
- Experience with virtualization VMWare, Red Hat Linux, and Windows.
- Familiar with agile development methodologies and test-driven development.
- Requires Secret security clearance, and ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Preferred Experience:
- Functional experience in software testing related to Cyber Operations Training.
- Functional experience with test automation; creating automated test cases and test scripts.
- Familiarity with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, and execution testing.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence and Zephyr
- Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 - $135,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
