Job Description:
Leidos seeks an Energy Advisor/Energy Engineer to both market and support energy-efficiency programs that promote the continual improvement approach of Strategic Energy Management at large industrial and commercial facilities near Detroit, Michigan. This exciting position offers a very unique career opportunity for dynamic people who possess excellent outreach, sales, communication and organizational skills to sell leading edge energy efficiency projects within a creative team environment.
A person in this position will require the ability to identify efficiency opportunities, calculate energy savings, maintain customer relationships, and deliver presentations. The Energy Advisor will directly market to large commercial, industrial and governmental facility owners. They will work closely with facility managers, facility and manufacturing engineers, contractors, suppliers, and energy engineers to encourage energy efficiency practices in their facilities. The successful candidate should have basic general knowledge of building systems, industrial systems, construction practices, and/or the energy efficiency industry. They must be highly motivated, well organized, self-starting, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and work well in a team setting. Candidates living in the state of Michigan may have the option of working from home.
Qualifications:
Must be able to utilize initiative to develop relationships with customers and vendors, to keep up to date and demonstrate knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices in demand side management.
It is critical that productivity, accuracy, organization and effective communication be demonstrated in performance of work.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and physical ability to perform field verification of pre and post installation of energy efficiency measures.
Education
Four-year technical degree and 10+ years of relevant experience with industrial manufacturing environments and/or energy management is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communications are essential. An engineering degree is preferred. Certified Energy Manager(CEM) a plus.
Experience with Utility Energy Efficiency programs is preferred
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
