The Leidos NISC IV Program has a current need for an Information Systems Security Officer. The ISSO will be responsible for creating, revising, documenting and maintaining the overall security related policies, procedures, laws and regulations with the team; as well as creating, documenting and implementing various security plans and compliance documents to enforce Information Assurance principles with the team. The ISSO will assist with assessment, development and implementation of programs and controls set in place to preserve the integrity and security of sensitive data and information stored and processed by various network systems. The ISSO will review client/department information security systems and recommend improvements/solutions.
Ensures appropriate system and information security posture is maintained
Serves as a principle advisor on matters of system security and compliance
Maintains detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage system security controls
Responsible for day-to-day system security operations to include physical and environment protection
Responsible for handling system security incidents
Assist in the development of security policy and procedures
Develops and updates security documentation
Experience in coordinating and conducting annual security assessments
Experience developing and testing contingency plans to include disaster recovery
Experience in conducting audit log reviews
Experience with NIST Special Publications and Guidance associated with System Security Compliance
Requires BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Minimum of 4years of experience as an ISSO supporting major federal information systems/applications.
A minimum of (1) security certification: (CISSP, GIAC, GCIH, GWAPT, GPEN, GSLC, or Comp TIA Security +).
Knowledge of developing, maintaining, and managing Security Authorizations and Assessments.
Experience with developing and managing Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
Displays technical experience in technologies related to meeting security compliance requirements (log auditing, alerts, virus scanning, vulnerability scanning, etc.).
Experience with reviewing vulnerability scans and remediating or mitigating findings.
Pay Range:Pay Range $74,750.00 - $115,000.00 - $155,250.00
