The SMIT Global Logistics team has an opening for a Logistics Coordinator (LC) to function as the primary point of contact for the management of Government-owned materials in the Pt. Loma/San Diego, CA area. The LC will work directly with the lab team to coordinate and schedule the flow of required assets to support on-going and often complex lab projects/testing. The LC will work independently as the sole provider of logistics support to the lab team, performing equipment receipts, marking, Asset Management required updates, IUID marking, and inventory management.
The LC will communicate with procurement and across other Logistics teams to research parts availability and for reconciliation of asset data. The LC will track parts from PO placement to receipt and report material availability issues to lab related project managers.
Additionally, as schedules permit, the LC will support Regional Logistics teams in the of sites for the purpose of verifying assets, reconciling areas of concern, and reporting compliance with SMIT contract requirements relative to Asset Management and Government Property control.
The LC will be based in a customer-facility located in the San Diego/Pt. Loma area.
What You'll Get to Do:
•Coordination and development of schedules for lab assets.
•Ensuring accuracy of data within Asset Management Database (Hardware and Software).
•Integration and tracking of Asset Management and Configuration Management data.
•Establishing schedules for and conducting Monthly Inventories.
•Supporting scheduled and ad hoc Asset Management System Audits and reconciliation of errors.
•Coordinating with lab functional teams for Integration of Asset Management disciplines within workflows.
•Shipping and receiving of assets.
•Coordination with procurement for repair and maintenance of equipment and renewal of Software Licenses.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
-Requires a B.A. Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
•Experience with Asset Management or Inventory Management software.
•Experience with FAR/DFAR Government Property Management requirements.
•Advance skills with MS Excel, generating look ups and pivot tables.
Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $89,000.00 - $120,150.00
