The Certified F5 Load Balancing System Administrator/Engineer will implement, operate and maintain load balancing technologies in a global enterprise across multiple networks. Duties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, and implementation of critical system patches. This infrastructure may include on-premises and cloud resources.
Ensure Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and brokering PKI authentication features provided by the F5 appliance is operational at all times
Ensure load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are backed up in accordance with customer policies
Alert load balancing and reverse proxy customers prior to PKI certificate expiration and assist with certificate renewals as necessary
Create, manage, and troubleshoot load balanced IP address spaces
Develop and implement technical solutions in collaboration with engineers and architects
Provide after-hours support to 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with troubleshooting service outages
Develop and update technical solutions, operating procedures and other documentation for 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel to assist with initial troubleshooting/triage efforts
Experienced in administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment
Knowledge of standards, concepts and tools to be able to complete technology monitoring and assignments of F5 appliances
Domain and working technical knowledge to ensure load balancing configuration and PKI certs are backed-up.
Extensive experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces.
Experience working independently on technical network activities in support of a client
Experience interfacing with team members on requirements and solutions
Familiar with IT Service Management products such as ServiceNow
Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification requirements (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP)
Candidate must possess an F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Masters degree with 6 years
Education equivalency of Associate’s with 10 years of related experience or High School Diploma with 12 years of related experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
A TS/SCI with Poly is required for this position or TS/SCI and willingness to get a Poly.
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00
