The Defense Health Operation of Leidos is seeking a Software Developer to support the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, CT. A successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers whose mission is to deliver research solutions that promote the health, welfare, and performance of undersea warfighters.
NSMRL conducts research and investigates the effects of medical, psychological, and performance issues associated with the health and performance of Naval personnel in operational and non-operational settings.
Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
Work collaboratively to convert user requirements into functional software applications.
Use coding guidelines and best practices to write efficient and understandable code.
Apply research skills to identify various methods and solutions to complex technical challenges.
Produce supporting documentation and specifications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
A minimum of 2 years or less of relevant professional / work experience
Experience developing web, desktop, and mobile applications
Experience with C#, Java, Python or similar programming languages
The candidate will be required to acquire, at a minimum, a SECRET classification access level. Preference will be given to a candidate who already has this clearance level.
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Experience building single page applications (SPAs) and progressive web applications (PWAs)
Familiar with web programming frameworks (React/Angular/Vue)
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Experience with embedded programming and microcontrollers
Pay Range:Pay Range $50,700.00 - $78,000.00 - $105,300.00
