Leidos Corporate Group has an immediate opening for Vice President, Manufacturing Systems (PM/Architect), who serves as the corporation’s program manager and chief architect of manufacturing center of excellence. This position reports to the VP for Business Transformation & Risk. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the enterprise in the transition to a manufacturing center of excellence and working with the Corporate project team on tool acquisition, integration, and policy, process and procedure development, conversion and migration.
•Responsible for providing leadership support for manufacturability, make-buy analysis, and launch of new programs across the enterprise
•Responsible for establishing core capabilities for each manufacturing site and provides technical support for these capabilities.
•Ensure quality and compliance against Leidos design standards for products manufactured at supplier locations and from within Leidos manufacturing facilities.
•Ensure timely delivery of products to align revenue expectations for the monthly, quarterly & annual operating plan.
•Develops and leads manufacturing transition to production plans for launch of new products
•Leads critical manufacturing readiness reviews
•Provides manufacturing input to critical proposals and design manufacturing product architecture.
•Leads facilitation of improvement projects for manufacturing operations.
•Provides ad hoc technical support for critical programs.
•Providing leadership to defining, implementing and executing manufacturing business systems
•Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years experience in a Business, Engineering or Scientific field of study.
•Master’s Degree in Business (preferred)
•At least 12 years’ applicable experience in related technical field as described in the responsibilities of this role. **Technically qualified candidates with less years' working experience able to demonstrate progressive and successful execution with management of services and delivery similar environment and scope/size will also be considered
•The ideal candidate will have 5 years of strong management experience in environments accountable for health and safety and product manufacturing
•Direct experience successfully working in an environment with customized moderate manufacturing on commercial or defense aviation programs is needed to meet expectation to quickly transition and take ownership of this role
•Sound engineering background and technical understanding will enable you to successfully provide manufacturing influence with design teams, work multi-system tools, and provide expert guidance for applicable solutions
•Experience with manufacturing execution/business systems
•Prior experience in leading manufacturing readiness reviews and design for manufacturing for complex products
•US citizenship and Top Secret/SCI security clearance required
•Experience with exotic materials and advanced manufacturing systems
•Leading diverse indirect teams
•Superior leadership and communication skills with experience presenting at the executive level
•Proven ability to work successfully in a collaborative manner as an integrated member of the management team
•Broad operational experience enabling career growth into other leadership roles
Pay Range:Pay Range $210,000.00 - $280,000.00 - $350,000.00
