1901 Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Virtualization Engineer to provide Citrix support in our Blacksburg Virginia Enterprise IT Operations Center.  This is a great opportunity to work with an elite team of virtualization professionals to maintain a secure environment for critical systems.  Bring your own experience and work with our team to teach and learn while building, maintaining, and supporting our customer environments.

Primary Responsibilities

•    Implement, monitor, and sustain multiple versions of Citrix infrastructures in multiple customer environments.
•    Implement, monitor, and sustain multiple version of NetScaler appliances.
•    Troubleshoot all escalated Citrix issues ranging from hardware to operating systems/applications/permissions/user profile related issues.
•    Analysis of Citrix/Windows Patch requirements and remediate accordingly.
•    Demonstrate excellent networking and technical skills, proficiency with the design, implementation and support of Microsoft solutions, integration of enterprise server, storage, network, and virtualization components, and exhibit strong project management and communication.   
•    Implement, install, and recommend technologies including database, systems management, server virtualization, network storage and security.
•    Perform troubleshooting and management of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, ICA and File/Print services.
•    Evaluate and architect network, server, and storage architecture plans.
•    Provide technical guidance and support for existing Cloud Platform in AWS and Azure. 
•    Technical writing for both system integration and transition to operations teams.
•    Work in hybrid multi-location operations team administering existing production network.
•    Follow, maintain, and produce in-house documentation for repeatable processes, including database feature installation, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution.
•    Assist in creating automation and process improvements toward greater efficiency, reduced incidents, and proactive systems management.
•    Support tickets and manage incidents, service requests, and problems through their full life-cycle.
•    Provide health and performance reporting and take appropriate actions based on trends in data.
•    Document status updates and communicate to necessary parties.
•    Document troubleshooting steps and knowledge articles for Shared Desk and Help Desk teams.

Basic Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree and 8 years experience or we will accept additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
•    Experienced with Citrix versions 5.x thru 2203 LTSR
•    Experienced with physical NetScaler and virtual NetScaler appliances
•    Experienced with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure
•    Experienced with PowerShell or other scripting tools
•    Familiar with ticketing systems and the value of good documentation
•    A US Citizen who can obtain a public trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

•    Bachelor of Science in IT Related Field 
•    Experience with Citrix XenServer
•    Experience with Citrix NetScaler
•    Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V)
•    Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Service on Citrix Cloud Certified (CC-VAD-CC)
•    Prefer a candidate located within a commutable distance from the Blacksburg, VA 

$110,000-$125,000

Pay Range:

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
