Are you seeking a new and challenging position supporting a complex Cybersecurity Program for the Warfighter? Well, look no further! Leidos is currently looking to add a Technical Writer to support Cryptographic Modernization 2/Next Generation (CM2/Next Gen) technical task near Fort Meade. A successful candidate will work with engineers who analyze CM2 ICD capability gaps and add clarification to and formulating system requirements; prepare Concept of Operations to illustrate the mission needs related to the CM2 ICD Gaps; work with Government representatives to prioritize the gaps and associated requirements; prepare system requirements for specific product families as defined in the CM2 ICD to address the priorities; derive system requirements for specific cryptographic product families as defined in the CM2 ICD to address DOD and military Service priorities; and review DOD service roadmaps.
Primary Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will author, edit, and proof technical documents such as System Manuals, User Guides, and other technical documentation. He/she will ensure that documents conform to program standards and Data Item Description (DID) requirements. He/she will work with the engineering team to define the content of the documents. He/she will have primary responsibility for authorship. The selected individual will gather requirements from users/stakeholders and prepare user and program documentation. He/she will work closely with technical staff and will be responsible for managing multiple documentation assignments simultaneously.
Basic Qualifications:
Two (2) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.
Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for the role.
Experience effectively formatting and editing technical publications and proposals, including writing, editing, and illustrating using MS Office Suite.
Experience working with system engineers, software engineers, and program management to translate technical information into clear, concise documentation.
Must be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
